Cities Skylines : Mariteese County Update 1

CitiesSkylinesCity Zones

This is my city, “Mariteese County”. It has about 20,000 residents. A highway runs through the middle. I recently added some farms in the north (right side).

The county has five towns within it, the most populated being Laurel City (bottom left), the County Seat being Cedar Mill (top left). The other three are Cartonville (middle), home of Mariteese University and an industrial area; Amity (far right), a small village with about 200 residents and farms; Clementsville (bottom right), a small town on the hillside by the river.

CitiesSkylinesZones2 I separated the cities into districts, naming them by the city name. There is not much space between Cartonville, Cedar Mill, and Laurel City, but Amity and Clementsville are pretty far away.

Why do you do counties? Why not just a huge city?

I like to do counties because it is much easier to make them rather than creating huge cities with major traffic problems and not enough services for the whole city. I don’t agree with big cities with no smaller towns. If you are talking about a bigger city Laurel City and smaller towns scattered throughout those are more successful. But one big metropolis isn’t as great as you think.
Here in Mariteese County you have a fire station, police station, and health clinic for each city. For example, Laurel City has the LCPD, Laurel City Fire Department, and the Morgan Clinic.
